ALEXIS KRASILOVSKY recently moved from Echo Park to Frogtown. Originally from New York, Alexis began her filmmaking career with the film, “End of the Art World” (1971) featuring Andy Warhol, Bob Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns – recently restored through a National Film Preservation Foundation award to Yale Film Archives. She has traveled to twenty countries making and screening her global documentary features, “Women Behind the Camera” and “Let Them Eat Cake” – available for streaming with a public library card on Kanopy.com. Her work has been exhibited at the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris and the Museums of Modern Art in New York, Istanbul and Buenos Aires, as well as at poetry and film festivals around the world.
