Alex is an LA native who is drawn to the grotesque. She creates dark sculptures using clay and wax as a way of empathizing with and celebrating the ugliness in humans and in living. I will be showing roughly 4-5 dark, figurative pieces. They were all sculpted in clay and cast in wax or plaster and then painted over with wax and resin.
